So I had a whole little bit written up about marriage and friendship, and while all true, I was feeling like something a bit truer, deeper. There are some days when you need to stop and look around, breathe and count your blessings. Yesterday was a day like that for me. I get caught up, like everyone else- perhaps more than everyone else- with the humdrum of life. And then I lose sight of how immensely amazing my life truly is.
And these two are among my blessings. Sarah has been one of my closest friends since junior high and was my college roommate. She has proven to be an amazing example of hard work, thoughtfulness, ambition, and beauty. I don’t tell her enough how much I do look up to her. She has an amazing set of values and humbleness that if everyone embodied, we’d be living in a much, much better world. And Chris, he’s passionate and kind like no other. And he refuses the status quo, which is refreshing and inspiring.

This baby boy was born on Christmas Day! Talk about a nice gift 😉 I had a great time photographing him- our session went SO smoothly. I really didn’t know what to do with myself because he was just so darn content and calm. I have a feeling his dad is going to instill a little bit of rock ‘n roll in his life (check out his skull and crossbones tie down there- I didn’t know they made them that small!)
Oh, and you’ll be able to tell- but I love his little shoes!

Something about celebrating our first Christmas as a married couple really made me want to send out Christmas Cards. Personally, I love sending and receiving mail. Combine that with the fact that I looooove my wedding photos (its sorta becoming a vanity problem)- it made sense to send photo cards 🙂
