Garden Party Bridal Shower | Carolyn Ann Photography

This past March, I was the luckiest girl around 🙂 My bridesmaids threw me an amazing bridal shower (and bachelorette, but no pics here 😉 )

It was a sweet garden party themed shower, which was quite ironic as Northeastern Ohio was blanketed with snow that very morning! But we rolled with it and I am so happy to share the pretty little details.  I was lucky enough to have my bestie, Amanda, on hand to snap some shots when I was opening presents, being a hostess, etc. etc.

Guests got this tasty chocolate-drizzled popcorn for favors! It was super cute because Alex and I met in a movie theater (where we both worked, and where I consumed massive amount of this buttery good stuff 😉 ).  And who isn’t weak in the knees for some adorable fonts?? Just me?

And no shower is complete without some majorly pinterest-worthy treats!

Then I sat tight while guests played a hilarious game of “Who said it?” They had to guess which one (Alex or myself) answered a question by holding up lips or a mustache.  Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun watching my face for clues 🙂

Then it was time to open presents under the cutest banner ever! This is no etsy buy, handmade by my maid of honor!

Surprise! The groom showed up 🙂

Isn’t this the cutest card? So much handmade love going on that day.

Seriously one of the best rehearsal bouquets ever! I can’t wait to rock it on July 19 😀

Amanda + Bryan Winter Beach Engagement | Carolyn Ann Photography

When I was home (Ohio) for spring break, I had this amazing plan to do a lovely engagement shoot with my best friend and my soon-to-be best friend-in-law (aka her hubby-to-be). Then we remembered it was March in Ohio, there went the cute spring session we had planned. Instead we hatched a plan for this super cute winter beach shoot, hot cocoa and an [illegal] beach bonfire (who knew? my dad informed post-facto). Enjoy (and relish in the fact that Amanda and Bryan’s REAL spring engagement will be coming once the weather cooperates).

I am just loving all the fun with light and reflections that can be had at the beach.

And then they got playful  😉

((secret behind the scenes info: we went and warmed up in the car for 10 mins, but these troopers got back at it!))

I had the amazing privilege of photographing the S family.  This mom and dad are blessed with two beautiful little girls.

We had some play time, family time, and some peek-a-boo time 🙂

I think these pictures speak for themselves.

Bella was counting the geese, and this little lady was right: there were 5.

It wouldn’t be a toddler without a pout 😉

Brittany & John Engaged | Carolyn Ann Photography

I’ve known Brittany for almost my whole life. She is one of my best friend’s (and bridesmaid’s) older sister. Not having an older sister myself, I remember thinking Brittany was so glamorous and cool 😉 Now she’s a teacher in Cleveland and getting ready to marry the love of her life, John, this summer in VEGAS! And Vegas is the perfect place for this couple; they’re fun, sexy, and everyone wants to be around them! Enjoy!

For those shots above, I was climbing through some crazy branches, but John and Brittany did their fair share of work.  I think they thought I was crazy when I asked them to climb into the reeds, but I think the photos made it all worth it 🙂
